die Nacht. Die legendäre französische Choreografin Mathilde
Monnier, seit einem Jahrzehnt Leiterin des choreographischen Zentrums
von Montpellier, hat mit ihrem jüngsten Stück „publique“
eine Hymne an den Tanz geschaffen.
Reach out from the tip of your toes, throw yourself into the air, and almost burst into heaven. Chew gum, and with your eyelids closed let yourself be moved inside until the sun rises: To the driving beat of female singer PJ Harvey, eight young women hunt through the night. With her latest piece “publique”, the famous French choreographer Mathilde Monnier – leader of the Choreographic Centre of Montpellier for the past decade – has created a hymn to dance itself.
